STRAPPED

I've been working on a comic book pitch with writer Swifty Lang called STRAPPED (originally called The Surrogate). It's about a surrogate mother who goes on the run. It takes place in Miami and I decided to give the comic a faded textured look to give it a grindhouse tone befitting of the story's thriller atmosphere.

Here's the cover, page 1, some panels, and a title splash page I put together for the pitch, which is actually 7 pages long plus the cover.

Man Cop #1 cover!

Here is the cover to the first issue of Man Cop! A self-published work that I helped my friend Chris Bramante, a self-proclaimed mythmaker (and writer of Man Cop), put together in hopes of spreading the legend that is Man Cop. I had slowly worked through this first issue (all 20 pages of it), in over a year, painstakingly pencilling, inking & lettering it with all my passionate artistic fervor. It is finally of to be printed for its first run. Check out www.mancop.com for further news and preview the world of Man Cop.

"I Killed Jessica Again" Book Cover Illustration

Here's another cover I drew and colored for Stranghouse Books, for an anthology of short stories.

This is based on a story titled 'I Killed Jessica Again' by Kevin Strange, and is about a dead girlfriend who is resurrected by cult zombies in an alternate dimension. That alone made me want to draw this, lol! I drew this digitally in Manga Studio EX 4 and colored in Adobe Photoshop CS3.

This is the tonal sketch I put together for the client to approve. I was told to change the position of her left arm, which I think helps out. It makes for a stronger silhouette of Jessica rising from the reanimating fluid.
