Kylo Ren Illlustration Colored

Here's an illustration I digitally inked and colored in Photoshop. Click HERE to see my original post about the inks. I'm excited for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and I hope Kylo Ren's character will be a force to be reckoned with. Since I've yet to see the film, I have no clear idea about his relationship with Darth Vader and I hope this piece makes sense. It's been revealed that Kylo is obsessed with Vader and I felt an illustration with the both of them along with a hint of Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious and Anakin/Luke's lightsaber would be a nice homage to the old and new movies. I also liked the First Order and Sith symbols being in a frame around the image, I hope this still works once the story is revealed in The Force Awakens.

Kylo Ren Illustration

Here's a Star Wars illustration I did for fun, showing the new villain from the upcoming The Force Awakens film, Kylo Ren. I digitally inked this in Adobe Photoshop and hope to color it soon.

WASTELANDS

Here's another comic book pitch I helped out on about a modern day interpretation of Dracula, aka Vlad Tepes. it's written by two writers, Bryan Furuness and Andrew Scott. I did 7 comic pages and a couple character designs, which we've been shopping around. I drew these pages digitally in Manga Studio EX 4 and lettered them in Adobe Illustrator.
Here's a synopsis: Wastelands is a cross between Dracula and Apocalypse Now. Captain Harker and a small team travel upcountry to assassinate Dracula, a bin Laden figure who orchestrated terrorist attacks on American soil that killed Harker's fiancee, Mina, and thousands of other civilians a decade earlier. General Van Helsing taps Harker as the man to infiltrate the castle and end the 10-year war, but the mission is complicated when Harker discovers that Mina was turned into a vampire. The story is about 9/11, the War on Terror, what our country has done and what we're becoming—but it's also just a good story about vampires and vengeance.

Velocity Channel Storyboards

Below are storyboard pitches for a commercial promoting Velocity Channel, which focuses on men-centric programming about automobiles and sports. These were 3 different ideas for a commercial, I believe the Wind In Your Hair spot won.

Hungry Jack & Folger's Storyboards

Here are storyboards for a commercial spot for Hungry Jack and a Folger's spot produced by MacGuffin Films. These were drawn and toned in Adobe Photoshop.

New York Life AARP Storyboards

Below are storyboards for a IKA Collective produced commercial showcasing New York Life Insurance and AARP. These were done in Adobe Photoshop.

Sony Store Storyboards

Below are some storyboards I did for VOX Media showcasing a commercial about the Sony Playstation store. This has a split shot effect throughout, showing two different personalities utilizing the Sony Entertainment Network store. These were done in Adobe Photoshop.

Here's a link to the final commercial: https://vimeo.com/10815254

Deadline Crime Storyboards

Here are storyboards for a commercial promoting ID's show Deadline Crime with Tamron Hall. Here's an example of changes throughout the pre production of this spot. The beginning boards show the initial idea for the commercial, a piece focusing on transitions, but then the spot was cut down to something simple inter cut with video from the show.

Mother Of All Talent Storyboards

Here are storyboards for two possible commercials showcasing the launch of TVGN's show Mother Of All Talent produced by IKA Collective. These were drawn in Adobe Photoshop and shows my quick sketchy style, usually caused by a crazy deadline. Some directors prefer this style, just to have a quick reference that isn't bogged down in detail.
